In the Summer of 2003 I was awarded the Thune Travel Fellowship by the University of Pennsylvania which allowed me to research my honors thesis, Constructing a Mechanized Modern Architecture in Post World War I Europe, by traveling to important Modern Architecture sites in France, Germany, and Italy. The trip encompassed one month, during which time I visited sites including: the Villa Savoye, the Bauhaus, the Chilehaus, the Casa del Fascio, and the Einsteinturm and also sites from other time periods. Some photos and sketches are included below. Click on a thumbnail image to expand it.
